Article Pt 1 of the GTON Event....
My assistant and I arrived approx. at 8:00 pm at 36 S. Washington. At the entrance of the park, there Kevin Frantz was, sitting with the rest of the group waiting for the others to come along. There was another man next to him with a suitcase, and a notebook taking the names of the people who had reserved spots on the tour. It was soon after my arrival that I discovered he was going to be Kevin’s assistant for the night, with an array of different jobs or roles to play, including the rule announcer, the picture taker (for publicity), and what you’ll soon find out about, the “knock” man. He played many other roles and was very helpful, and informative throughout the entire tour, while being Kevin’s left hand man, and one hell of a professional ghost hunter.
Kevin was dressed like it was funeral time, which I applaud, because I too love to wear all black, plus it was perfect for the occasion. As you can see in some pics, he was wearing a black shirt, black jeans, a pair of solid black Nike's and a black and gray small plaid type suit jacket, or blazer.
Not only did Kevin look the part, he also played the part very well too. One word that kept coming into my head during the tour summing up Kevin’s story telling was charismatic. He was charismatic the entire tour. He told the haunt stories with such great energy and enthusiasm that it poured into the group of people, making them enthusiastic, resulting in a crowd that was really involved and pulled into the tour that much more.
Kevin’s passion for ghosts and ghost hunting was greatly evident in his behavior during the tour, really making [the tour] that much better to be a part of. His assistant was also very passionate about ghost and ghost hunting as well. He let me in on a few tips, inside information, and more that was unexpected to me, but greatly appreciated. He really took a liking to our coverage, as I really took a liking to his paranormal knowledge. I will report some of the cool stuff he told us about, including some cool apps for your I-Phone, his history in hunting, and other topics that were great in helping me cover the event.
I will go into great detail about the tour and the haunted history of Naperville, as our coverage on the Ghost Tours of Naperville continues!!!
